I'd say that's about enough...

Bomb threat at my university.

CNN decides to start posting about other news, and highlights the story of a single female graduate student living in an apartment building who is raped and tortured.

I go to have a bath to relax and get my mind off all of this... and there is an big soggy (but still alive) spider in there who apparently had a shower with me this morning.

I'd say I've had enough fear for today, thank you.

This is precisely why I avoid the news...

We've all gone to hell in a handbasket.

Yeah, ain't life grand? I decided to walk to a friend's house the other night. Just before I left - heard a news report that a male sexual offender had escaped in Toronto. His group from a psychiatric hospital and been on an outing to a Blue Jays game - he managed to "slip" away...
I walked anyway.

I find it even worse after I have avoided the news for a while-- it just hits me so much harder, and I feel like all the tragedy is drowning me. Ugh.

What horrors on this day. Bomb threats suck, soggy spiders that showered with you really fuckin' suck, too. But the poor girl who was raped and tortured. That really drags me down. How many times and ways can I express sorrow for the poor behavior and actions of my gender. It's awful. My friend, Michelle, of course, her... She was raped while in college--by the towns leading male feminist no less, wearing of all things, a rubber Ronald Reagan mask.

When she went to the police, they told her it was her word against his.

There are no words to express that sorrow.

thanks for the comments, though. I was going to say check out my new header, but it's like, what does a silly thing like that matter?

Be well, and much love to you and your family. Take care sweet friend.
