It's haunting me!
I guess my messed up data may be haunting me a little more than I thought-- I dreamt last night that my talk got completely messed up due to technical problems, and I was given less than 10 minutes to cover everything without any powerpoint slides or overheards.
I certainly don't miss my research related dreams! They're far too reminscent of the month prior to my defense.... which was not a time anyone wants me to return to.

Isn't it grand when calamity ensues and everthing buches up at once? Take a step back and a big breath if you can because you're going to have to just put your head down and barge right on through. If you're steady in conviction you should pull through. Will have my fingers crossed.
I'm a non-geek reading these posts. No wonder you're having bad dreams/nightmares.
Good luck...
Ah yes, work-related stress dreams - towards the end of my Masters, what with all the programming, I dreamt I got stuck in a for-loop. Next to the duracell bunny that is one of the most depressing dreams ever...
Prescription: a day off. (I seem to suggest that a lot though... :o)
Oh no! There are defense dreams too? I still haven't gotten over the qualifying exams dreams...
I don't like dreaming about work. I spend enough of my time awake at work. I don't need to be work when I should be dreaming about being wealthy on a tropical island sipping orange juice.
The other night, I had a dream about Microsoft Excel. I have been trying to come up with a formula for a job I do, but to no avail.
In the dream, I got the Formula so wrong that, as punishment, Excel slid off the computer screen and into my lap.
It stuck to the front of my trousers, so I ended up hopping around the office with this green and white spreadsheet sticking my legs together.
Everyone was laughing.
I was not.
Glad you made it through this rough time.
I'll read the other p0osts below soon. I'm so freaking tired. I was about to go to bed, but I just want o drop by and say hello.
Your friends blogger Lisa and DS are amazing writers in their own way. Lisa is really cool and her passions make her so memorable. But DS is really a good writer, as you told her, too. Wow. Just phenomenal.
But, you have insights she wouldn't think of, either. Learn from her, but don't let it demoralize you. Crazy good writing. It's like knowing a famous person before it happens.
The both of you.
Good night, my friend.
Peace out.
