When I am Princess of the World..

... shoe manufacturers will be forced to wear a pair of every model of shoes they put out for a week to ensure that they are comfortable.

In the words of Airam, my sandals raped my feet!

Yes, an exception will be granted for stilletos, because those things are supposed to hurt.

But there is no way that non-heeled sandals should violate my poor tender feet so.

The stiletto thing amazes me - while I'm incredibly appreciative of the effect they often have on me, they look just so damn uncomfortable...

Something else I've noticed recently is that very few women seem to have mastered how to walk in a certain type of boot - I don't know what the generic name for them is, I'm afraid I always refer to them as "Fuck Me Boots" - but they usually are black leather, have a spiky heel and zip most of the way up the calf. There's a weird buckling of the boot just above the ankle that looks horrible, and now I've noticed it once I see it everywhere...

Again I'm appreciative of the effect, but is it really worth the hassle?

This reminds me of when it first gets nice out again, and I always end up buying a low shoe. Whenever I wear them for the first time I always end up with an ENORMOUS blister on the back of my foot where it meets the shoe because I haven't worn anything like it in a year. THE PAIN!!!!

I second that notion.

What I don't get is how running shoe type shoes (i.e. Sketchers) can hurt your feet!!!
