Sunshine and those little moments

The one good thing about daylight savings time? The fact that it is sunny and blue skied at this very moment.

Today was a working from home day. Seeing that the rain had indeed finally gone away (as requested), I had contemplated packing my laptop and finding a sunny window at a coffee shop, but the wind seemed to be gusting like mad, so I remained in my apartment and worked away.

I tend to get into a bit of a zone when I'm working, which was actually good today, because that drive has been lacking a little lately. At around 4:30, I snapped out of it, and realized that not only was I in need of caffeine, but the wind had died down.

It was just a short little walk in a relatively non-picturesque area to run a couple errands. I don't know what it is about the sunshine, but it just heightens everything for me. My iPod was dead, so I used my old MP3 player that only holds around 50 songs... which happened to be 50 songs that seemed perfect at the time. Someone was cutting the grass and it just smelt amazing.

In celebration of those few moments that moved my day away from forgettable and mediocre, I bought a little daffodil plant. And danced to the Scissor Sisters playing on my headphone when I got back to my apartment.

If my iPod died, I probably wouldn't be dancing with daffodils. I'd be screaming or something. You are a better person than I.

Haha, I just love seeing dorky dad's avater next to his comments. It just goes so well together!

And your day sounded lovely. While I hated daylight saving time when I had to be up at 6:30 am this morning, I hated it...but it's worth if for more sunshine later in the day...

Ahhhh spring fever... isn't it wonderful? We discover patience we did't know we had!

I envy you the springlike weather. We have melting snow (good) and mud (not so good).
Loved the visual of you dancing in your apartment. I have a "Dance Like There's Nobody Watching" magnet on the fridge. Which I do. Sometimes. It's good for you, right? Physically and mentally. Who cares what I look like?

Man, it just snowed like 2 feet here last night!

I love spring flowers!!! I'm big into tulips, but I don't like them as much when the bloom. Why can't they just stay pretty and closed forever?

It's coming on strong over here, too.

I can see blue sky from the office window.

There are lots of hazy rays reflecting off the fingerprint smeared glass-houses. Shadows are getting longer for longer.

Dorky Dad- The secret is a back-up music source. Otherwise I, too, may have been ripping the heads off of daffodils instead.

Pie- Ha! Yeah, it is nice for me to still see sunlight after I leave my windowless box of an office for the evening.

iFreud- I thinking that altogether I may be a much better person this time of year!

Beth- That is one of the best and truest quotes out there!

Lmizzle- So funny and so true. You should try to scotch tape them closed!

Ultra- I love the visualization that came with your comment... very nice!
