Things I've done in the past 3 days that make me feel at least 10 years younger

Had cookie dough jammed into every hand crevice and fingernail.

Calling my dad at midnight asking him to pick me up from my friend's house, and then asking him when he arrives if he can also drive my friend home in the minivan.

Sitting crosslegged on the floor playing board games.

Calling my competitors names while playing said board games.

Sleeping until eleven.

Asking my dad to open a pickle jar for me.

Wearing pink kitty cat socks to my birthday dinner.

Making fun of my parents for their random hippie ways, like their eschewing of a microwave and rinsing out of eggshells.

Tapping my sister on the shoulder whenever a goofy looking guy walks by, and whispering "That's your new boyfriend!"

Having whipped cream on my nose.

Putting on my old ugly Sorels to go Christmas tree hunting.

Talking to my boyfriend on the phone in hushed tones in my bedroom.

Staying in the bath until my fingers get wrinkly.

Falling asleep, curled up in the backseat of a car, with a suitcase as a pillow.

Licking egg beaters.

Sounds fantastic (and a lot like my weekend!)

I'm guessing this means your sister and her guy broke up?

I like your weekend. :)

Ooh that sounds wonderful. I'd love to revert back to the younger years at Christmas :)

My parents do that boyfriend thing to me all of the time.

I'm moving out at the end of the week. Who will be my boyfriend then?

Enlighten me - why would one ever rinse out eggshells? I've never heard of that one!

Whipped cream on your nose? Now that sounds cute.

Please pass the egg beaters.

This post makes me very, very happy. It's probably because I am actually a 12 year old at heart ;)
Hope you're having a wonderful holiday season.

This post? Made me homesick. Which is really hard to do, by the way.

Glad you're having fun! :)

All of those sound so sweet and comforting! I want cookie dough now.

I rinse out eggshells before I throw them into my compost bin for my garden.

I'm the same way when I come home

Makes me feel young just reading them.

That is too cute.

Why only the goofy looking guys? Does your sister have a particular type that just horrifies her and makes her recoil in fear?

The "that's your new boyfriend" one is one that my brother does to me all the time. It totally cracks me up. It sounds like you are having the time of your life, keep it up!

(Also, wrinkly fingers in the bath? I do this often!)

oh to be young again, haha.

Can you lick eggbeaters without dying of whatever one might die of from eating raw eggs?

I forgot to comment on this???

OK, here goes...

From a goofy guy... har har!

But who doesn't love licking cake mix from egg beaters (I seriously hope you were not referring to the egg substitute product).

Oh, the memories of spontaneous joy and goofy moments. What am I saying? I'm still totally a kid at heart. My brother always teases me for jumping around when I'm excited. And he's my younger brother :)

Rinsing out eggshells?

Sounds like you're having a great visit, and happy belated birthday!! (Your post about which reminded me that I'd forgotten to call my dad on his... oops! Bad Frog! Fortunately I was forgiven :) )

I looooooove playing the "That's your new boyfriend" game. :)

I first read this as,

"Had cookie dough jammed into every crevice"

My first reaction was, "What has this blog become?? Damn!"

That single word was crucial.

Also, I looked at your picture posted below and decided I need to start hanging out with your friends.

I say the "that's your boyfriend" thing to my wife all the time. Hopefully I'm never right (that is why I point to ugly dudes).

Sounds like a kickass week!

Don't you think all microwaved food tastes like rubber though?

Great memories - and I may be guilty of, um, doing most (all?) of this the past week as well! ;)

(Except my parents DO have a microwave... Instead, I was making fun of them saving yogurt containers and using them as tupperware)
